Ealing holiday courses

Our holiday courses are always very popular. That’s why we introduced a second week this summer for the first time. We were a little concerned before we launched the second week that take up might be slow but we’ve been very happy with the response. Yourstage Too (age 6 to 10 is now fully booked for our second week.)

There are still some spaces in the other age groups and for Yourstage Too in Week 1, but you will need to be quick to book!

During the Easter holidays course, talented St Augustine’s Priory pupil, Serena joined us to film some of the activities and create a short video showcasing the holiday course offering. You can view it here:

The Week 1 course will be a gala of outdoor theatre entertainment, with the end-of-week show being performed on the outdoor stage in the meadow of St Augustine’s Priory.

The week 2 course looks at the ‘Golden Age of Hollywood’ with a show on Friday evening (6 to 16 years) taking place at Questors Playhouse. Tots will perform at 12.30 pm at St Augustine’s.

The courses promise lots of fun and creativity for your child, with a show at the end to reveal how much they’ve come on during the week. As well as drama and dance, there will be time for some arts and crafts (helping to make some props for the shows) and plenty of outdoor play in the extensive grounds.

With the Yourstage Tots groups, the focus is on building up their confidence but also unleashing their creativity through the use of imagination via make belief games and dance exercises. We make sure it’s lots of fun and the teachers are adept at dealing with different characters and the different learning stages of the children. It is always heartening to see how many of the children change from being a shy child, gripping onto their mother’s hand at the start of our holiday courses, but end up bursting onto stage with excitement and pride by the last day.

Our holiday courses are suitable for children from 3 to 16 year old. It doesn’t matter if your child has been doing drama and dance for years and is used to performing on stage,  or if they are trying it out for the very first time. There will be a role for everyone in our end of week shows!
